Method of Student Evaluation

This course will be graded as pass/fail.  Please contact the instructors if you require a letter grade.

 

Description 

Grade 

Learners in this program will:

1.  Develop a Wiki (50%)

     Learners will create a practical Wiki that will incorporate and demonstrate

     effective use of a range of  assistive technologies that support diverse learning

     needs.  Portions of the Wiki will be presented during the final class.

Pass/Fail 

2.  Create an Action Plan (20%)

     Learners will develop an action plan for implementing assistive technology into the

     classroom/school. Portions of the action plan could be presented during the final class.

3. Reflection and Sharing (10%)

    During the final class you will be sharing parts of your wiki and/or action plan to the class. 

    What you share need only be 5 minutes and needs to demonstrate your learning.

4.  Attendance and Class Participation (10%)

     Learners will be expected to participate in all class activities and attend all sessions unless prior 

     arrangements have been made with the instructors.

3.  Reflection and Sharing

During the final class you will be sharing parts of your wiki and/or action plan with the class.  Your sharing should not exceed 5  minutes and should demonstrate what you have learned, how you plan to implement what you have learned and what you plan to do to continue your personal learning journey.

 

 

4.  Attendance and Class Participation 

Attendance in classes is mandatory.  Students are required to contact the instructor in advance if they are unable to attend classes.

 

LATE POLICY

All assignments are to be submitted to the instructor(s) by the due date.  If, due to illness or emergency this will not be possible, please discuss this with the instructor(s) (before the due date) and an individual revised due date may be established.

 

Any assignments received after any due date without negotiation will drop 10% of mark.
